Viterbi Startup Garage is a 12 week technology venture incubator program created by the USC Viterbi School of Engineering that includes $50k in funding, space, strategic and financial resources and access to world-class mentors, and hands-on product, marketing, legal and fundraising support. It is the brainchild of Ashish Soni, Founding Director of VSi2 and the Startup Garage.This year S:Cubed Capital, HZ Ventures and Karl Jacob III join KPCB as partners in the program.
What you get:

This program is open to anyone as long as you have a co-founder who is either a current USC Viterbi Student or USC Viterbi alum. The USC Viterbi alum should have graduated no earlier than 2003.

This program is open to all current USC student’s and USC alumni who have graduated in the last 5 years. Our only constraints are that you have to have a current USC Viterbi student or USC Viterbi alum as co-founder or CEO.
We are currently accepting digital media, internet, software and hardware companies.
The program is 12 weeks long. The program starts on May 28th.
We plan to accept about 10 companies into the accelerator this year.

Yes, you do have to spend at-least the summer in our accelerator.

We accept applications from companies at various stages — some will have just a new idea while others will have a company that is already generating revenue and looking to accelerate its growth.
No, the University does not take equity in any of the accelerator companies.
